ch 11

For a traditional device I chose the cassette and headphones. You can use these for students who have problems reading books. The cassette player will read it to the student. I chose these two technologies because they are cheap and easy to use. I chose internet audio for an emerging technology. Internet audio allows you to find different clips and information for different subjects. Instead of buying different, cd, DVDs mp3 or any other media, you can use the internet audio for free.

I chose a digital projector for a traditional technology. They are fairly common and can be used to play videos, notes, worksheets, and websites. For an emerging technology I picked the clickers. You can use them to asses previous knowledge and current knowledge to ensure that the students are learning. d

ch 6 post

I would prefer to teach at school with more technology. Technology promotes diverse learning. The book had information stating that multimedia helps address diverse learning styles. Technology also motivates students and makes learning fun. I found that there were a number of devices that were in use at my high school and here at BGSU. The book also gave a number of websites to help generate activities and integrate the different technologies into the classrooms. I found it interesting that elementary grades had tablet PCs in their classroom because I did not have any computer classes until third grade and I think fundamentals such as reading and writing need to be taught before how to navigate a computer.
